Who We Are
Marine Park Young Adults Association is a Brooklyn-based nonprofit dedicated to building stronger, more connected neighborhoods in southern Brooklyn. Founded by Sam Daniele, the organization began as a space for young adults ages 18–35 to come together around shared interests in civic engagement, community service, and cultural connection — but quickly grew into an inclusive space that welcomes individuals of all ages.
Our mission is rooted in action. We host public events like game nights, concerts, and speaker forums, while also organizing volunteer projects such as park cleanups, tree care, and donation drives that support families in need. Through both fun and service, we aim to create meaningful spaces where neighbors can connect, contribute, and grow together.

Spotlight: Climate Cafe South Brooklyn
Climate Cafe South Brooklyn is a welcoming, all-ages community gathering designed to foster open, honest conversations about the climate crisis and how it impacts our lives, our neighborhoods, and our mental well-being. Launched by the Marine Park Young Adults Association, it’s part of a larger mission to build emotional resilience and environmental awareness across southern Brooklyn.
Unlike formal panels or lectures, each Climate Cafe is structured as a relaxed, listening-circle-style event held in cozy, community-minded spaces like Marine Park Coffee. Participants are invited to reflect, share, and connect through guided prompts, resilience-building tools, and creative exercises — all in a nonjudgmental setting where every voice is welcome, whether you're a seasoned climate advocate or just beginning to explore the issue.
